Work continues at 400-home development

Carrington Gardens and Humberston Meadows is a development of 400 properties set in 44 acres of landscaped gardens on Humberston Avenue, Humberston. This flagship project is being delivered under a Joint Venture Agreement by Keystone Developments (part of Longhurst Group) and Countryside, and incorporates a luxury retirement village with communal clubhouse, over 13 acres of open space, affordable and executive homes.

The development, which is now entering its final phases, offers a mix of family homes on Humberston Meadows and bungalows for the over 55’s on the Carrington Gardens side. The development is in keeping with the existing properties in the area and the tree lined, green avenue the scheme accesses, offering bungalows, apartments and houses.

To date, 57 retirement bungalows and apartments have been completed and 74 family homes, incorporating 33 affordable across tenures.

Phase 6 is currently under construction and will deliver 49 new properties for rent and shared ownership and 12 for market sale, with the sales campaign due to launch imminently and the show home opening July 2022.

Phase 7 has been sold on the private market to a care provider, Tanglewood Nursing Care. Their scheme design and the care aspect will enhance our offer on the site and complements our vision and the overall master-plan.

The award winning scheme, which has extensive open spaces and informal areas for walking and relaxation, is also in close proximity to the Lincolnshire Coast and Wolds, and has good accessibility to local amenities in Cleethorpes and Grimsby.

In 2019, the scheme took the the Best Residential accolade at the Greater Lincolnshire and Property Awards and was named Best Retirement Scheme at the House Builders Awards.
