Glorious Gardens competition is back!
We’re delighted to say that our popular Glorious Gardens competition is back.
Last year’s competition attracted a record number of entries and we hope this will continue to grow this year.
The categories for 2024 remain the same, so get preparing your gardens and taking your photos to enter in one of the following categories:
- Individual Garden
- Shared Garden
- Best containers
Previous winners have been praised for their imagination and creativity in their gardens, as well as making the most of limited space.
Becky Budge, Customer Engagement Officer, said: “Last year’s competition proved popular, so it was an easy decision to bring back the Glorious Gardens competition for another year.
“Customers really enjoy showcasing their gardens and floral displays and all the judges love looking through the entries and selecting the winners.
“We’re all really looking forward to seeing the entries this year – I’m sure the standard will continue to rise and we’ll be in for a difficult job picking a winner!”
Last year, Chris Oakley from Lincoln claimed top spot in the containers category.
He said: “We’ve always loved our garden and we’ve worked hard to make it our own special place.”
Meanwhile, Bob Wheatley took first prize in the individual garden category and he added: “It feels really good to win, but ultimately we do it for us to enjoy!”
All entries will be judged by a panel of Longhurst Group colleagues and scored out of 35. Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries in each category.
Entries are now open and can be submitted via The Hub until 31 August. To submit your entry, or to read the full terms and conditions, visit The Hub.
