Hello and welcome to the latest edition of Our Voice – Longhurst Group’s customer magazine.
Just where has this year gone? The clocks have changed, the nights are drawing in and we’re rapidly heading towards Christmas.
As always, while it’s a time of festivities for many, it can present challenges to others and we’ve tried to address some of these in this edition of the magazine.
We've produced a bigger edition once again, packed full of information, stories and customer case studies for you to enjoy.
These range from examples of how we’ve used your feedback to make improvements to the services we provide, to a community engagement activity with a local primary school which has seen reception pupils bury a time capsule at one of our affordable housing developments.
We’ve also got customers telling their stories – Peter explains how our Independent Living Service has helped him manage to live independently despite his eye condition and Dawn tells us how our Employment and Skills Team helped her get back into work after more than 30 years as an unpaid carer.
The winners of our Glorious Gardens competition are also announced, while there’s advice on how to save money and budget this Christmas.
Thank you once again to everyone who’s helped with Our Voice throughout the year. We couldn’t do it without you and I hope you enjoy this final edition of the year.
On behalf of everyone at Longhurst Group, I’d like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Electric safety this Christmas
Christmas – a time that means festive cooking, fairy lights and movies by the fire. But did you know that your favourite festivities, when not done safely, could put your family at risk?

We want to work with customers to tackle fly-tipping in the communities we serve.
