Useful information and advice

  Transferring utilities

It’s important that you transfer your home’s utilities into your name as soon as possible, by contacting the supplier directly. You can arrange to move your gas and electricity to a different supplier once you’ve received your first bill.

Please make any arrangements directly with your chosen company.

  Energy efficiency

As a brand new property, your home is built to be energy efficient. The information below identifies some extra steps you can take not only to reduce your bills, but also reduce your carbon footprint.

Further details about saving energy can be found at energysavingtrust.org.uk.

  Switching your suppliers

Reviewing and switching your gas and electricity suppliers could potentially save you money on your energy bills. To make the most of this, you’re recommended to regularly review the market and search for better rates.

You can compare energy providers by using an OFGEM (Office of Gas and Electricity Markets) accredited website. Find out more at ofgem.gov.uk.

*Please note: there may be restrictions in place where you're unable to switch providers for a period of time. This may be due to the ‘deal’ that's made with the developer and the provider or the provider's terms and conditions.
