Additional contractors appointed
21 June 2023
We’ve appointed six additional repair and maintenance contractors to help us complete the amount of outstanding repairs we have more quickly.
Although we’ve worked incredibly hard with our three main repair contractors to improve the service our customers receive, we’ve continued to face significant challenges as we try to turn things around as quickly as possible.
We’ve now boosted our supply chain of contractors by appointing a second tier of six additional maintenance contractors to work on more complex jobs such as dealing with damp and mould, carrying out aids and adaptations and completing outstanding repairs.
The six organisations who will form our tier two support contractors are:
- Foster Property Maintenance (covering all regions)
- Lindum Construction (covering all regions)
- NAP Louth (covering the East, South and Northwest)
- Princebuild (covering East and South)
- Smith Planning & Building (covering the South)
- T M Browne (covering East and South).
Contracts have been agreed and will run for a minimum of 12 months.
We’ve worked with many of these contractors before and they’ll be joined by other specialists, as we do everything we can to improve the service our customers receive.
Our three main contractors will continue to complete responsive repairs, retaining responsibility for emergency and urgent repairs, as well as void (an unoccupied property) repairs.
The additional contractors will be dedicated to resolving more complex work and this will enable our three main contractors to deal with emergency and urgent repairs jobs.
By making these changes we’ll be more responsive and more efficient when it comes to prioritising the work that needs to be done and ensuring the resource is available to do it.
