Customers invited to trial new noise nuisance reporting tool
15 April 2020
Longhurst Group customers have the opportunity to trial a new app to report noise nuisance.
We have launched a four-week trial of The Noise App, which allows our customers to record any noise disturbances from within their own property before sending it directly to us.
Colleagues will then gather this evidence before deciding whether any action needs to be taken.
The app is free to download to a smartphone or tablet and the results from the trial will help us see whether we will use the app in the future.
Laura Waite, Legal Enforcement Team Leader, said: “We’re looking forward to seeing how well-received The Noise App is during this four-week trial period and if we get lots of customers using it, we’ll look at subscribing formally to it.
“The app is an easy to use way for customers to record evidence if they’re experiencing any noise disturbances and send it directly to us.
“We hope it’ll prove useful for customers as well as our colleagues during the current lockdown situation and it’ll be interesting to see how our customers feel it works.
“Please consider downloading the app and using it during the next four weeks so we can see if it it’s something we want to use in the future.”
How to use the app
To download the app, search The Noise App in your app store on your smartphone or tablet.
A short Youtube video has been produced explaining how to get set up on the app. It can be viewed below.
During the trial period, we will be listed as provider 677, rather than Longhurst Group – this would change if we continued to use the app after the trial.
