Group once again named as one of sector’s Biggest Builders
08 July 2021
Longhurst Group has once again been ranked in the top 50 largest builders in the housing sector.
We’ve been listed as the 43rd biggest builder in a survey carried out by Inside Housing magazine after completing a total of 340 new homes during 2020/21.
The development of these homes represents an investment of more than £65 million.
This delivery was achieved despite the significant challenges posed by the Coronavirus pandemic, which saw work on of many of our development schemes halted as a result of Government restrictions.
We were ranked 30th in the country for our pipeline of forthcoming developments, which we anticipate will see us complete over 700 new homes in the coming year, contributing to our 10-year business plan target of 5,000 homes by March 2031.
Executive Director of Growth and Development, Marcus Keys, said: “After a particularly challenging year for ourselves and our development partners, we’re pleased to see that, once again, our development programme puts us as one of the largest builders in the housing sector.
Looking ahead to the future, we’ll be working hard to realise our ambitious development aspirations, which will see us continue to provide the high-quality homes that people need, where they’re needed most.
“Our delivery targets for next year, through to 2031 and beyond is a demonstration of our investment commitment and enduring dedication to improving the lives of our customers and communities we serve.”
