Longhurst Group launches new wellbeing podcast

Longhurst Group is pleased to announce we have created our very own wellbeing podcast to improve the lives of customers, colleagues and a wider audience.

We have launched the Improving Lives podcast this week. The new, free of charge, bi-monthly show features advice, hints and tips and real-life stories from customers and colleagues.

The first episode is out now and is available through all major podcast services.

Director of Communications, Jon Reeves said: “Our colleagues work every day to improve the lives of our customers.

“Our new 2025 improving lives strategy, which launched at the beginning of July, focuses on the two areas of health and wellbeing and economic resilience, and it’s important that we showcase all the support services that our customers and our colleagues can access.

“We thought a podcast would be a great way of sharing the information, help and support that we offer, so that even more people can benefit from it.

“As well as ways to improve your mental and physical wellbeing, the podcast will also has practical tips and advice about how people can improve their finances, thanks to our in-house money advice and employability and training services.”

The first episode of the Podcast features an emotive interview with one Longhurst Group colleague about her experiences of domestic abuse, as part of the housing provider’s involvement in the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Make A Stand campaign.

“The Group’s new 2025 improving lives strategy, which launched at the beginning of July, focuses on the two areas of health and wellbeing and economic resilience, and it’s important that we showcase all the support services that our customers and our colleagues can access.

The campaign has been launched to bring together housing associations across the country in a bid to tackle the issue of domestic abuse.

Jon said: “We’re very proud to be able to share this story through the podcast in the hope that it may help others who may be going through a similar experience.

“The real-life reflections and advice from the interview could be invaluable in helping someone reach out for the help and support that they need.”
