Longhurst Group ranked in top 30 of Inside Housing Biggest Builders survey
29 June 2023
We’re delighted to have been ranked as the 29th biggest builder in an annual industry survey.
We completed 584 homes last year, which has seen us named in the top 30 of the Inside Housing Biggest Builders survey for the second consecutive year.
Of these, 297 were built for affordable rent, 211 were made available for Shared Ownership and Rent to Buy and 73 homes were for social rent.
All the organisations ranked higher are larger than us and Marcus Keys, Executive Director of Growth, Development and Assets said this was an achievement to be proud of.
He added: “I’m delighted to see the Group has once again been named as one of the top 30 biggest builders.
“This ranking is something to be proud of, especially when looking at the ongoing difficulties faced by the sector.
“These include being adversely affected by Brexit and post-pandemic issues which continue to affect delivery across our operational area, however we've concentrated our efforts on achieving quality handovers to ensure customer satisfaction.
“We’re committed to investing in and delivering new homes which people want to live in and where they’re needed most.
“We’ll continue to work hard to deliver our ambitious development programme and keep investing in our communities and improve the lives of our customers.”
Last year saw the Group begin using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) when building some of our homes. In total, 175 of our completed properties had been built using MMC elements.
