New heating contractor appointed

Longhurst Group is pleased to confirm the appointment of a new contractor to deliver our heating servicing, repairs and installations contract from next month.
Following a significant amount of work and a rigorous procurement process, we can confirm that our new heating contractor from Friday, 23 September will be Aaron Services.
The contract will run for the next three years – with an option to extend for a further two years if successful.
It will cover all of our geographic regions and most property types, except our leasehold for the elderly properties. This is due to the short period of time for mobilisation, which meant we were unable to complete what’s known as a section 20 procurement with those customers.
However, we’re working closely with Aaron Services to ensure the services required within the contract are provided for this customer group on an emergency basis for a period of up to 12 months.
The changes and what they mean will be communicated to all customers in advance of the contract coming into force.
