Residents encouraged to join South Holland housing register as more affordable housing set to become available

Longhurst Group is working with South Holland District Council (SHDC) to provide more affordable housing opportunities to people in this part of Lincolnshire.
We’re on the verge of delivering 50 homes for affordable rent across two sites in Crowland and we’re working with the local council to ensure the homes are made available to the most appropriate people.
While these homes are being delivered by us as a social housing provider, South Holland District Council has recently changed its rules regarding applications for this type of housing.
It now welcomes applications from residents living in private rented housing who may be looking for cheaper yet quality accommodation.
Kerri Johnson, Lettings Team Leader at Longhurst Group, said: “We’re excited to take handover of these properties and we know that they’ll be the perfect home for people.
“We’re committed to providing the homes people want, where they’re needed most and, thanks to this change regarding the housing list in South Holland, we’re pleased to be able to offer the opportunity of living in quality social housing at an affordable price to more people.
“I’d encourage anyone who’d like to find out more about the opportunities available to them to sign up to the housing register with the council, who’ll then be able to discuss things further with them.”

“These new properties will add to our existing stock, giving those on our waiting list more high-quality options at affordable prices.
