Residents in Rutland encouraged to take part in consultation to shape county’s future

Residents in Rutland are being encouraged to take part in a consultation to help shape the future of the region following the Coronavirus pandemic.

Rutland County Council has launched the Future Rutland Conversation, a two-month consultation to allow residents to have their say on what they’d like to see prioritised in the county.

The consultation started on 1 April and runs until 1 June and is made up of a number of surveys and virtual discussion events to understand why they live, work or visit the county and what they want for future generations.

The council will also be holding fortnightly themed polls and events focussed on key aspects of life in Rutland, from climate change and the environment through to getting around the county.

All the feedback gathered from the Future Rutland Conversation will help the council  to understand people’s views across a range of areas that impact on life in the county.

The responses will then be brought together and used to shape a Vision and set of aspirations to guide the county’s future.

At Longhurst Group, we’d encourage our customers living in Rutland to take part in the Future Rutland Conversation and have their say.

To find out more or to see what live discussion events are taking place, head to the Future Rutland website.
