Work progressing well at The Leas on Toot Lane in Boston

Work is progressing well on our 135-home affordable housing development in Boston.

We’re delivering The Leas on Toot Lane in the town, which will provide much needed affordable housing in the area.

Construction on the one, two, three and four-bedroom homes started earlier this year and is now well under way.

Marcus Keys, Executive Director for Growth, Development and Assets, said: “I’m really pleased to see the progress being made at The Leas in Boston.

“This is a very important development for the Group, being one of the largest we’ve developed on our own.

“We know that there’s a need for affordable housing of this type in the Boston area, and we’re proud to be bringing such a large number of homes forward to help address that need.

“It also further affirms our commitment to providing the homes people want, where they’re needed most.

“I’m looking forward to watching the development continue to grow and welcoming our first customers to their new homes.”

The development will be made up of 12 one-bedroom homes, 69 two-bedroom properties, 50 three-bedroom homes and a further four with four-bedrooms.

They’ll be made available on for Shared Ownership, for Rent to Buy and social rent. It's being part-funded through a grant from Homes England as part of our strategic partnership.

New build houses on new development

Adam Mayer, Managing Director of D Brown Builders, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with how the development is progressing.

“All the hard work and dedication, particularly in the winter months when we started putting the main roads and drainage in, has provided us the platform to really progress the plot works in these warmer months.

“The site team has always been meticulous in their attention to detail and I can’t wait to start handing over these much needed houses to Longhurst Group and the wider community to showcase their hard work further.”

It’s hoped that the development will be launched in the autumn, with a marketing suite and showhome on site.
