Tenancy Sustainment Service helps improve customer's mental health
“Without the help I’ve had, I don’t know where I’d be in a few months’ time.”
Those are the words of one of our customers who’s worked with our Tenancy Sustainment Officer Brian Noble to address some of her mental health issues.
Josie Evans* has depression and anxiety. On a daily basis, she finds it hard to get out her house and she’s been battling with her mental health for a long time.
But since Brian stepped in to offer support, Josie said things have started to ease.
She said: “I live on my own and it can be really hard at times. I struggle to get out, I struggle to have a bath and my housework doesn’t get done.
“Then, because I have anxiety as well, when I do get out, it’s very hard for me.
Brian and Amplius have helped point me in the right direction to get support. He got in touch with the local council to get me a support worker, which is now in place.
“He’s also helping me with taking stuff to the tip so I can declutter my house. I’ve also been referred to Open Minds for some extra help too.
“Amplius' support has helped to ease my problems at the moment. Things won’t go back to normal straight away, but it’s helped in a big way.
“I just want to thank them very much and let them know how grateful I am.
Without the help I’ve had, I don’t know where I’d be in a few months’ time.”
